Laketown

Then Clip went East, down the Forest River,
Though the boat-horses' bobbing soon made him to shudder.
To Lake-Town he came, where the businessmen smiled
And bid for his pipeweed with gestures wild.

Pure gold for each pound, half an ounce for ten shilling -
Before he knew it Clip had made quite a killing!
And the dwarves were polite and bowed so low,
That their beards sometimes tickled the hair on his toes.

With dwarves he wandered, went on to roam
Deep under mountain in halls of stone.
But Clip loved to chat and he missed his friends
So his time to wander must come to an end.
