The Song of Clip the Hobbit The Song of Bird and Turtle The Eyes of the Phoenix Lover's Madness Starlight on Stone A Lesson for Maeglin Wedding Songs

Starlight on Stone

Silent beauty, lowered eyes unspeaking:
Tell me, lady, why your eyes are veils.
Sighing beauty, sorrows hidden deeply,
Test me, lady, trust my ears and tell.

Stars are shining, wind and wave now whisper:
Secrets sharing, all across the land.
Stones are standing, wind and wave around them,
Seeking safety, confidence in wind.

Wind's inconstant, blowing gusting fickle;
Surf while steady, washes stones away.
Whisper softly, stone can ever hear you;
Circle slowly: speak, bright star, and stay.

Silent beauty, lowered eyes unspeaking:
Tell me, lady, why your eyes are veils.
Sighing beauty, sorrows hidden deeply,
Test me, lady, trust my ears and tell.
